I love that Jason Pierre-Paul is suing ESPN and Adam Schefter

Love this. Good for JPP. I hate ESPN. But for only $15,000? That's like Dr. Evil only asking for a million dollars in the first Austin Powers movie.  $15k is peanuts to ESPN.  You would think they'd just cut a check and call it a day.  Should have sued for $100 million or something. I'm not sure if Adam Schefter and ESPN did anything illegal.  JPP has already settled with the hospital that released his medical records and the HIPAA laws don't apply to media as far as I know.  I watched Making a Murderer, so I'm basically a lawyer.  That isn't the point of this blog though.

The point is that ESPN sucks.  Do I still flip on Sportscenter just about every night?  Sure.  But, it's getting to be unbearable to watch.  Can they just change their name to TMZ Sports already? It's not about actual sports anymore. For ESPN, it's all about what's happening off the field. All about the storylines and "what's trending. "What nonsensical motivational quotes is Lebron James posting on Instagram today? Are the Mets OK with Yoenis Cespedes wearing his hat backwards for batting practice? What stupid clothes is Russell Westbrook wearing to the game? Where is Johnny Manziel partying today? Is Brett Favre making another comeback?!"

It's nauseating.  The "Worldwide Leader in Sports" barely covers hockey.  They have one hockey analyst. And it's basically a huge joke the whole time Barry Melrose actually is on, usually at 1 AM. Think about how many football, baseball and basketball analysts there are.  Seems like hundreds.  That chick they have on there to talk about fantasy?  The only reason she is on there is because she's hot.  ESPN tries so hard to be cool and hip.  It's just a bunch of corny anchors who try too hard. The only people I can stand on ESPN are Scott Van Pelt, John Buccigross and Steve Levy.  Besides that, they are all toolbags.

Anyways, I hope they lose the case against JPP just on principle.  That, and Adam Schefter is a midget.

Sorry JPP, but I still laugh at this...
